Hope you had a terrific 4th of July and got to enjoy some of the Cowboy Christmas cheer that was was abundant this past holiday weekend!

Both Jerri and I, just wanted to give you a “heads up’ on some exciting additions the WPRA office has made to our web site in an effort to improve the flow of information to you.

Need to find a rodeo quickly? Click on Schedule tab at the top of the home page. Click on either the Monthly or Circuit sub tabs and you will have the option to look at WPRA sanctioned rodeos separately from a list of that includes both WPRA sanctioned rodeos and WPRA co-approved jackpots. Finding a rodeo has just gotten easier.

Searching for results or standings? Under both the Results and Standings tabs at the top of the home page, all of our divisions of competition are separated out for you.

Want to know what issues your Board is working on? Please notice on the home page in the upper left area under the WPRA logo, your Board is providing the agenda for the Board meetings and the approved minutes from them.

Have you received your email version of the President’s Update? In late June we tested out our email push capabilities. The President’s Update was distributed to all members who have provided us with their email addresses. In addition, the office has been contacting those where we don’t email addresses to obtain. So far the response has been very good.

Want to provide member input on important issues? In late June we also started experimenting with giving members a way to provide the Board with their input on important upcoming issues. This will be a great tool for the Board to use when making decisions.

This is just the beginning.

Lastly, please keep your eyes on the web site next week as we start providing information about our 2011 WPRA World Finals competition in Lincoln, NE.

Last year was a great success on many levels and we are planning another exciting event. Mark your calendars: October 13-16, 2011 Lincoln, NE. Over $80,000 in added money.
