WPRA 2009 Board of Directors and Officers Election Procedures

On August 22, 2008, the WPRA Board voted to accept the proposal from the Election Committee for the following procedures to elect new officers and directors beginning in January, 2009.

Jan 2009 nominations, Feb 2009 elections for the following positions: President, Vice President, Columbia River, First Frontier, Montana, Mountain States, Southeastern, Texas, Wilderness - They will take office March 15 which by our rule book is after the 15 day certification period.

November 2009 nominations, Dec 2009 Elections for the remaining positions : Badlands, Great Lakes, California, Prairie, Turquoise, AW, Futurity - take office January 15,2010 which would be early but still be after a 15 day certification period. These directors would serve basically 2 extra months beyond normal - Jan 2010 to March 2012.

Qualifications for the open positions, will be by our current rule book, Chapter 3, page 13.

By structuring the elections this way we will be back on track for regular elections according to our rule book.
