1.
What do you do for a living? I'm a rancher.
2. What do you enjoy
doing outside of riding? Hunting and
fishing, the typical country hobbies.
3. How did you get
started in rodeo? I started in 6th grade
when some of my friends got involved. I
participated in Junior and High School rodeo
and was on the University of Western Montana
college rodeo team.
4. What is your horse's
name? How old is he or she? French Cash
Yawl, aka Cash. He is a 9 yr. old gelding.
5. How would you
describe his/her style? Cash is a free
runner. He really came along faster than
I expected. He was my back-up horse, but
I had to step him up when my main horse
died last year of heart failure. Unfortunately
I stating having trouble with him at the
end of this summer and discovered he has
navicular. So, after two big blows to my
line-up, I'm working on my next horses now.
This will be the first time in 7 years that
I didn't make the circuit finals.
6. Does he/she have any quirks that make
them unique? He is kind of stand offish.
Hw doesn't like a lot of attention, he just
wants to do his job.
7. What is your riding
regiment during rodeo season? Try to
ride everyday. I usually ride 2 or 3 horses
in the morning, and then use a few to do
my ranch work during the day, and then ride
the rest in the evening.
8. Do you have any
superstitions or quirks when competing?
I don't carry money in my pocket.
9. Do you have any
hauling partners? Jessica Routier and
Amy Holmes.
10. What is your
favorite rodeo to compete at? Cheyenne,
WY. I like the set up of the arena, the
hospitality was very good, and they always
have a packed crowd.
11. What is something
that people would be surprised to learn
about you? I drink like a 6 pack of
coke a day. I think I'm addicted to the
stuff
must be from all the late night
drives rodeoing:)
12. What is your
goal for this rodeo season? I'm determined
to make it back to the circuit finals. I
also want make to more rodeos and try to
get into the top 50, so I can qualify for
some of the big rodeos.
