Women's Professional Rodeo Association
The Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) is the
oldest women's sports organization in the country. The Association
started in 1948 with a group of Texas ranch women who wanted
to add a little color and femininity to the rough-and-tumble
sport of rodeo. A major move at the time, 38 women met in
a hotel in San Angelo, Texas, on February 28, 1948, to change
the way they were being treated in the male-dominated world
of rodeo. These women banded together to create the very
first professional sports association created solely for
women by women - the Girls Rodeo Association (GRA). The
GRA began with 74 original members with 60 approved contests
with a total payout of $29,000. In 1981, the GRA changed
its name to the Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA).
Today, it is a computerized association with more than 2,800
members and over 1,200 events with a total payout of over
$4.8 million. The WPRA provides opportunities for women
across the United States and Canada a chance to compete
in the timed events of barrel racing, team roping, breakaway
roping, and tie-down roping. For more information on the
WPRA and a list of events visit www.wpra.com.
Mustang Heritage Foundation
The Mustang Heritage Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit
organization dedicated to creating successful adoptions
for America's excess wild mustangs and burros. The program
focuses on connecting horse trainers with wild horses that
will gentle and train them for competitions, followed by
adoption auctions. The Mustang Heritage Foundation is responsible
for the adoption of more than 3,500 wild horses since 2007.

SPRINGS, Colo. - The Women's Professional Rodeo Association
(WPRA) is pleased to announce
Justin Boots as one of the title sponsors for Team 88- "The
Cowgirls" on the 2012 FIREBALL RUN Adventurally Northern
Exposure.
Two-time WPRA world champion barrel racer Kelly Kaminski
of Bellville, Texas, and national circuit finals qualifier
Laura Lambert of Wiggins, Colo., are teaming together in
September for an 8-day, 14 city, 2,200 mile interactive
road rally competition known as the FIREBALL RUN. It is
an interactive journey, a rolling scavenger hunt across
America. The only "Race" is the Race to Recover
America's Missing Children.
The Race to Recover America's Missing Children is the largest
active recovery effort for missing and exploited children
in the country. Each team is assigned a missing child from
their home region along with thousands of posters to distribute
along the route. A decal featuring the child is affixed
to the vehicle, creating a rolling awareness campaign. To
date, the effort has assisted in the recovery of 38 missing
children.
"We are excited to partner with Justin Boots on this
exciting event that will not only bring national attention
to the sport of barrel racing and rodeo in general, but
to our great sponsors like Justin Boots," said WPRA
President Jimmie Munroe.
The Justin Boots logo will be proudly displayed on both
sides of the vehicle and the ladies will distribute information
on behalf of Justin Boots to all the fans in the Northeast.
The 2012 FIREBALL RUN features women in professional sports
as part of the notable cast making up "The Year Girls
Rule." Kaminski and Lambert will be competing against
Tarah Mikacich, a pro wakeboard champion; Tina Stull, NHRA
Super Comp Dragster Driver; Timber Tina, Lumber Jill World
Champion from CBS's Survivor and ABC's Extreme Home Makeover;
Shea Holbrook, Long Beach Grand Prix winner, as well as
an additional 35 teams made up of convention and visitor
bureau members, civic leaders, etc.
The participants must solve clues and complete missions
in order to successfully navigate the roadways and score
points - all while aiding in the Race to Recovery of America's
Missing Children. It takes more brainpower than horse power
to win this part rally, part game, part cause. The teams
and their sponsors are the moving pieces and America is
the game board. The production, filmed by Universal Studios
Florida, expertly captures the essence, magnitude, and thrill
of the adventure and takes the audience on an emotional
ride of a lifetime, all the while raising awareness that
aids in the recovery of missing children and more familiarity
with each teams walk of life.
"When the WPRA brought this opportunity to Justin Boots,
we immediately knew it was a perfect fit. To be able to
spotlight the sport of barrel racing/rodeo for 8 days and
bring awareness to America's missing children is something
we absolutely want to be a part of," said Tom Feller,
Director of Event Marketing.

lunch stop cities and night stop cities), 2,200 mile interactive
road rally that will make overnight stops in:

The GRA began with 74 original members with 60 approved
contests with a total payout of $29,000. In 1981, the GRA
changed its name to the Women's Professional Rodeo Association
(WPRA). Today, it is a computerized association with more
than 2,800 members and over 1,200 events with a total payout
of over $4.8 million.
The WPRA provides opportunities for women across the United
States and Canada a chance to compete in the timed events
of barrel racing, team roping, breakaway roping, and tie-down
roping. For more information on the WPRA and a list of events

Independence, Ohio - The "Heart of Cuyahoga County,"
Independence is a thriving residential and business community
located eight miles south of Cleveland and 12 miles east
of the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, with easy
access to multiple major interstate highways. It is bordered
on the east by the Cuyahoga River, the National Park, the
historic Erie Canal, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
Jamestown, N.Y. - Visitors and residents
alike rave about the famous attractions. The Lucy-Desi Center
for Comedy and museum honors the birthplace of Lucille Ball.
The Robert H. Jackson Center focuses on the life and legacy
of its namesake, former Supreme Court justice and chief
prosecutor of the Nuremburg trials. Nature lovers thrill
at visits to the Roger Tory Peterson Institute and the Jamestown
Audubon Center and Sanctuary. History buffs are fascinated
by the Fenton History Center and sports enthusiasts love
the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena. The Downtown Jamestown
Development Corporations hosts a year-long series of events
from concerts to parades and the exciting Fireball Run.
Wellsboro, Pa. - The County Seat of
Tioga County, Wellsboro is home to Pennsylvania's Grand
Canyon, a 47-mile long natural wonder. Pine Creek Rail Trail
voted one of the "10 great places to take a bike tour"
by USA Today is a 62-mile long trail with a 2% grade over
its entire length that travels through the Pennsylvania
Grand Canyon starting just north of Wellsboro and ending
in Jersey Shore. Along with the Gorge, Tioga County is home
to seven lakes where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, waterskiing
and many more outdoor activities.
Watertown, N.Y. - Located in northern
New York, Watertown is proud of their lush farmlands, miles
of waterfront and acres of forests, quaint villages, a booming
commercial center, and of course, Fort Drum, home to the
10th Mountain Division, one of the most deployed divisions
in the Army. Watertown is considered the commercial hub
of the tri-county region of northern New York, and is home
to nationally recognized manufacturing facilities like the
"Little Trees" Air Fresheners.
Schenectady, N.Y. - Schenectady is a
city rich in history and accomplishment. It was here where
Thomas Edison founded what would become the General Electric
Company, where George Westinghouse invented the rotary engine
and air brakes, where the American Locomotive Works once
made virtually every steam and diesel locomotive to pull
passengers and move freight across our country, and where
New York State's first historic district, the Stockade,
was named. Once known as the City that Lights and Hauls
the World, Schenectady today is poised for a new generation
of growth and opportunity.
Waterbury, CT - Waterbury was once known
as the Brass City because of its long tenure as the center
of the nation's brass industry. Nationally known firms include
Timex, with its origin as the Waterbury Clock Company, dating
back more than 150 years. From its Mickey Mouse watch to
popular timepieces of varying styles, Timex products gained
notoriety as those that "take a licking and keep on
ticking" -- one of the most successful branding campaigns
of the 20th Century. Now known as Timex Group USA, the company
maintains its headquarters in neighboring Middlebury and
remains the nation's leading watch manufacturer.
Ogunquit, ME - Ogunquit, "Beautiful
Place By the Sea," three square miles of white sandy
beaches, a renowned cliff walk that hugs the dramatic coastline
for just over a mile, and a kaleidoscope of shops, galleries,
museums and restaurants.
Bangor, ME - Bangor played a small role
in the Revolutionary War in 1779, ten American ships were
scuttled at the convergence of the Penobscot River and the
Kenduskeag Stream, where they remained until the late 1950s,
when construction of the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge disturbed
the site. Six cannons were removed from the riverbed; five
of which remain on display throughout the region. Located
along the banks of the mighty Penobscot River, Bangor was
the "Lumber Capital of the World" for much of
the 19th century. So it is only fitting that Bangor is the
birthplace to folklore's best known lumberjack, Paul Bunyan.
Today, he oversees the day-to-day operations and construction
of the new Bangor Arena and Convention Center, which is
on track to be completed in fall of 2013. Stephen King,
Hannibal Hamlin and Joshua Chamberlain have all called the
Greater Bangor Region home. The third-largest city in the
state, Bangor is the retail, cultural, educational and service
center for central, eastern and northern Maine and is a
top destination for Atlantic Canada.
