Dear California Circuit Contestants:

We hope this letter finds you doing well and looking forward to the upcoming October California Circuit Finals. At this time, we would like to remind everyone that this year's Finals will be held October 16 (7:00 pm) and October 17 (1:00 and 7:00 pm) at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster, California. Please remember that the Circuit cut off date for points to go toward qualification for the Finals is September 16, 2015. Also, if you think you will be short on your required rodeo count, we will need to receive your hardship letter by September 16. We cannot accept hardship letters after that date. It is very important for us to receive your dues money ($100) in a timely manner as we will not purchase extra vests/jackets to have on hand. The cut off date for dues will be September 16. After that date, should you wish to purchase a vest/jacket, the price will be $150. When you submit your payment, please also let us know your size. If we do not receive your dues payment, we will not order a vest/jacket for you. Your check can be mailed to our office at the address below. Please note that even if you pay the $150 after the September 16 cut off, we cannot guarantee your vest/jacket will be ready for pick up at the Circuit Finals. We will likely have to ship your vest/jacket to you at a later date. Should you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact my secretary Dawn at This email address is being protected from spambots. Check in with Rodeo Secretary; sign release forms and pick up back number. You are asked to wear your number and wrist bands. The CCF offers a Hospitality Tent for all of your meals near the Rodeo Office.

There will be a Circuit Meeting for contestants held Saturday 10-18 approximately 10am at the Cantina on the Fair Grounds. Please come and share your concerns, recommendations and advice for the future. There will be a representative from the PRCA, yet to be determined who, but this rep will be able to answer questions and listen to concerns.

We are looking forward to a Center Gate! First go round will run in order of qualification and second go will reverse order. Third go round will be a random draw.

I need a bio from each of our contestants to send to the announcers, to make for a better barrel race. Write something interesting about yourself, your horse, your life, your family that the crowd would like to know. Please include your biggest or favorite wins this year which helped you qualify to the CCF. Send to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

I will ask each qualifier to meet at Sponsor Tent approximately two hours prior to each perf to mingle and introduce yourself to the sponsors. I would like you to introduce yourselves at the tables, thank the sponsors and answer questions they may have about the barrel race.

You will be asked to be at the Autograph Session immediately following the first perf and the last perf near the Cantina. Please remain in WPRA Dress Code. There will be a table set up, pens and something for you to sign for the fans! Perfs are scheduled to last 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 hours (approximate time).

The 2016 Miss California Rodeo Contest will be held the week of the CCF in Lancaster. If you have a sponsor that would like to give items for these ladies goody bags, please contact me. For additional information, check out their websites: http://missrodeocalifornia.com/ andhttp://missrodeocalifornia.com/2015-miss-rodeo-california-contestants/

There will be a limited number (48) of 12 x 12 corrals at the CCF. First come, First paid, First served. $40.00 total includes one bag of shavings. Shavings will be available to purchase should you need more. Price to be determined at a later date. Contact: Sandy Travis 805-660-9800 to reserve your stalls. If you set up portable pens, you will be asked to keep them no larger than 12 x 12. You will be asked to reset your pens if they are larger. Parking can get difficult, so please cooperate. There will be a $20.00 grounds fee if you do not purchase a stall.

Saturday 10-17 following the last perf there will be an Awards Ceremony which you are all invited to and highly encouraged to attend to support our CCF. It will be held at the Cantina following the last perf. Please bring family and friends. Bring your dancing boots, the Band; Jacob Nelson and the Tone Wranglers are amazing. Circuit will present the Championship Saddle to the 2015 CCF Year End Winners, and a Montana Silversmiths Buckle to the 2015 CCF Average Winners. There will be a Best Dressed Award given to the Best Dressed Cowgirl; being judged in all three perfs. Must be present to win Award.

The WPRA CA Circuit Awards Ceremony will be held on friday October 16th at 1pm, held at Marguerite Happy's Bloomer Trailer near the stalls. If you can not be there, please let me know.

You will soon be contacted to vote on our 2015 WPRA CA Circuit Horse of the Year! This Award will be presented during our WPRA CA Circuit CCF Awards Ceremony. Each qualifier will receive some amazing awards thanks to dedicated sponsors!

Please be in Dress Code for pictures for our sponsors. Family is invited to join us. Teda and Tootie Hudson will again host Tri-Tip/pulled pork Sandwiches during our Ceremony. You will be asked to bring a dessert!

Please plan on bringing 11 other items to share with the qualifiers. This is a fun gift exchange!

I will be accepting Silent Auction Donations for the Annual Silent Auction to benefit our CA Circuit, held November 7th at Spurr Ranch.
