2009 - Entered the Wrangler
NFR second and finished the year ranked second. Placed
in nine out of 10 rounds winning the second and seventh
rounds with times of 13.95 and 13.71 seconds, respectively.
Finished the year second in the world with $272,344
and was second in the average. Won a total of $131,126
at the Wrangler NFR; Won the Justin Boots Championships
in Omaha, Neb., for the third straight year. Won the
Canby (Ore.) Rodeo, the Omak (Wash.) Stampede, the Ponoka
(Alberta) Stampede, the Reno (Nev.) Rodeo, the Sisters
(Ore.) Rodeo, the rodeo in Rocky Mountain House (Alberta),
the Redding (Calif.) Rodeo, the Red Bluff (Calif.) Round-Up
and the Walker County Fair Association (Huntsville,
Texas).

2008 - Won her first world
title and became the first Canadian barrel racer to
win a WPRA Barrel Racing World title. Along the way
she also set the new WPRA season earnings record with
$323,570. The previous record was held by Brittany Pozzi-Pharr
with $259,713 set in 2007; won five out of 10 rounds
at the Wrangler NFR coming within one-one hundredth
of a second from the arena record in the ninth round.
The arena record is held by Brandie Halls with a 13.52
set in 2006, and Sears ran a 13.53. She placed in three
additional rounds en route to her first world title,
which she officially won after the eighth round. Finished
third in the average; won a Wrangler National Finals
record $139,002 over 10 rounds, breaking Janet Stover's
record of $126,934 set in 2001; set the new WPRA regular-season
earnings record with $184,567. The previous record was
held by Brittany Pozzi-Pharr with $164,521; won the
Wrangler ProRodeo Tour Championship (Dallas), the Wrangler
ProRodeo Tour Ariat Playoffs Omaha (Neb.) Round, the
Southwestern International PRCA Rodeo (El Paso, Texas),
the Horse Heaven Round-up (Kennewick, Wash.), the Omak
(Wash.) Stampede, the Cheyenne (Wyo.) Frontier Days
Rodeo, the Strathmore (Alberta) Stampede, the Calgary
Stampede's $100,000 round, RodeoHouston and a check
worth $61,500 and La Fiesta de los Vaqueros (Tucson,
Ariz.).

2007 - Won five rounds (2,
5, 7, 8, 9) of the Wrangler NFR, the most by any competitor
at the 49th annual event. Her earnings of $119,255 put
her second only to Trevor Brazile and highest among
any single-event competitor. Finished the year second
in the world with $230,797. Won the Omaha (Neb.) Round
of the Ariat Playoffs hosted by the River City Roundup,
sweeping all four rounds, setting an arena and won $22,500.
Won the Medicine Hat (Alberta) Stampede, the State Fair
Championship Rodeo (Oklahoma City, Okla.), the Ellensburg
(Wash.) Rodeo, the Walla Walla (Wash.) Fair and Frontier
Days, the Ponoka (Alberta) Stampede, the Woodlake (Calif.)
Lions PRCA Rodeo and the Southwestern International
Rodeo (El Paso, Texas).

2006 - Finished the year
ranked 12th in the world with $78,993. Had to borrow
a horse (DJ Nick Bar) from Courtney Cantrell for the
Wrangler NFR after Martha was not able to go. Won the
Wrangler ProRodeo Tour round and average titles at the
Red Bluff (Calif.) Rodeo and the Auburn (Calif.) Wild
West Stampede.

behind 2W chutes, which are widely used in areas in
Canada. Her mother is Susan and she has one brother,

She bought her horse, Martha, in January
of 2006 from Texas trainer Dena Kirkpatrick. She met
Kirkpatrick when she was competing on a rodeo scholarship
at Texas Tech
While growing up she competed at
the provincial level in figure skating and swimming.
She also participated in volleyball, basketball, and
high school rodeo
Travels with her dog Zorro, a
miniature pinscher, and her mother, when her schedule
allows
Likes to listen to alternative music, favorite
band is Nickleback, favorite movies are My Sister's
Keeper and the Notebook, favorite vacation spot is the
beach, favorite fast food items is Sonic Chocolate milkshake,
and her rodeo bling includes Gucci and John Hardy designs
