Welcome Reception was held Tuesday night
with hundreds of friends, family and spectators
of competitors showing up to see the finalists
receive their back number on stage at the
South Point Casino and Hotel. Not only did
our top 15 barrel racers have to attend
the event, but at 7am they were at the arena
for the, 'Barrel Racer Orientation', followed
by a practice barrel racer from 8:30am to
10am. 
On
Wednesday, the contestants went back to
the arena for the WNFR Contestant Orientation,
followed by a grand entry rehearsal, contestant
group photos, WPRA Saddle Rotation photos
then the PRCA Awards Banquet. And in between
all those commitments, they still need to
find the time to exercise their horses,
make personal public appearances and well…sleep!!!
They do say that Las Vegas is the city that
never sleeps though….
