GREENER PASTURES FOR 2010 WPRA WORLD FINALS AND MEMBERS
Norman, OK - The sign above the 2010 WPRA World Finals door reads WELCOME ALL this year. The WPRA's Greener Pastures campaign is all about renewal and breathing a breath of new life into the oldest women's sporting association in the US. In addition to the new October 12-17 date and relocating to the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, the primary focus has been on creating an event that is inclusive and contestant friendly. WPRA intends to mobilizing their nationwide membership, and other barrel racing and roping enthusiasts, with $80,000 Added, a new roster of WPRA events, and by opening the WPRA competition up to all current members. Rodeo barrel racers will have a unique opportunity to run in specified classes, one for Card Holders that offers a Gold Card members sidepot, and one for Permit Only members. The standard WPRA Roping events (Team Roping, Breakaway, and Tie Down) will all be included, as will the WPRA Junior barrel race , the WPRA Futurity (for horses 5 years old and younger) and the WPRA Derby (for horses 7 years old and younger).

WPRA is also cultivating the co-approval alliances at its own 2010 World Finals which were made with other barrel racing and rodeo associations through out the 2010 season. This means that the co-approved classes, such as the 4D Jackpot barrels and the Jackpot Team Roping will be open to anyone who wants enter, children, women and men. BBR, Pac West and NABRC have already co-approved so their members can include the rich event in their point standings. WPRA is currently working on bringing a USTRC affiliate roping into the mix, as well as co-approved breakaway roping jackpots. WPRA PRO ELITE HORSE SALE FEATURES PESI SELECT SESSION AT 2010 WPRA WORLD FINALS
Norman, OK - The 2010 WPRA World Finals has contracted with Going Big Time Sale Company out of Ada, OK to include the 1st Annual Pro Elite Horse Sale. The sale will offer 75 to 100 head of horses carrying barrel racing and timed event bloodlines, from breeding stock to prospects to seasoned and mature age horses. A WPRA Pro Elite Sire Incentive Select Session will also be featured and horses will only be accepted in the Select Session if they are by a PESI enrolled stallion or in foal to an enrolled stallion.
