2011 NFR Standings based on winnings seven days prior
to entry closing.All participants agree to be bound
by the terms and condition of the WPRA bylaws and Official
Rodeo Rules and by these Ground Rules. The management
reserves the right to refuse the completion of any contestant
who has violated the generals, or has been dishonest
in the competitions of the National Western Stock Show.
The barrel pattern will be set before the rodeo begins
on Jan 8th. This pattern will be used for the National
Western Stock Show Quarter Horse Show in Jan before
rodeo dates begin. Contestants must be ready to run
when called upon, either the Chute Boss in agreement
with Pro Official(s) or the Pro Official(s) may fine
contestant a $100 fine. Anyone completing the pattern
at a walk or trot or circling a barrel more than one
time will be subject to a $100 fine. Only contestants
are allowed in the arena. Arena should be clear of non-competing
contestants at all times. Any contestant(s) who does/do
not abide by these rules will be fined $100.When a contestant
is finished competing she should exit the arena. Contestant
may receive one helper pass. Helper must display pass
at all times when in the warm-up area or behind the
chutes. Helper will abide by same ground rules as contestant.
Contestant will be liable for helper. All helpers must
sign a release to receive a helper pass. Admission to
Grounds-only actual contestant and one companion is
allowed gate access. Contestant parking will be for
contestants only. Each contestant will be furnished
with a back number at the time of check-in (located
in trailer in contestant parking area). Number must
be worn and displayed in the entirety at all times when
in the competitor arena and warm up area. Failure to
wear back number will result in a fine of $100. No contestant
will receive a back number until all waivers/releases
are signed. Any contestant wearing another contestant's
number will be fined $100.Health papers-Must have current
coggins and health papers. All Stalls will be available
to contestant at $10 per night or $50 for the event.
All stalls first come, first served. Overflow stalls
will be a Jefferson County Fairgrounds (303) 271-6600.Arena
Open for Barrel Race Practice No camping or No overnight
trailer occupancy allowed on Coliseum parking lots operated
by the City or Denver or the National Western Stock
Show. Parking of contestants horse trailers must be
in an area designated by the City of Denver parking
lot application or the National Western Show parking
lot application. No dogs will be allowed on the grounds.

before first horse runs in each race. If a contestant
chooses to enter all late entries on their first run
of the show, they will only pay a maximum of $50 in
late fees. Late entries will have a separate draw and
run after pre-entries.12.Vet and medical releases for
all entries must be received in the show office before
the race starts. All applicable entry fees and unused
stall fees will be returned to the contestant. D&G
will retain the $20 processing fee. Vet or Doctor Release
can be faxed to our office at 940.538.4329 up until
Tuesday at 12:00 noon prior to the race. After that
time we have left for the race and the vet or doctor
releases must be delivered to the D&G Show Office
at the show location. If a vet or doctor release is
faxed to the show
location it is the contestants responsibility to make
sure the release is delivered to the D&G show office.
The vet or doctors release does not become valid until
it is delivered to someone on the D&G Office staff.13.Number
of place paid per race: 101-250 entries: 8 places, 251-399
entries: 10 places, 400-499 entries: 12 places, 500
and over entries: 15 places. 14.75% payback, added money
split equally between divisions. Each race is separate.
15. The 5D format will be as follows: 1D fastest time
of race, 2D fastest time of race plus half second (.5
second), 3D fastest time of race plus once second (1
second) 4D fastest time of race plus one and one-half
second (1.5 seconds) 5D fastest time of race plus two
seconds (2 seconds). The jackpotted entry fees will
be divided 1D 30%, 2D 24%, 3D 19%, 4D 15%, 5D 12% If
all placing's in a division(s) are not filled, unpaid
money will be divided proportionately between all divisions.
16.Must enter a minimum of 3 different shows to qualify
for year-end awards.17.All late entries paid in
cash, no exceptions18.All horses must be placed in stall
belonging to the arena if staying on the grounds overnight.
Only one horse per stall. NO PORTABLE pens or tie outs.19.D&G
reserves the right to refuse any entry.20.A $25.00 return
check fee plus bank fees will be charged on all returned
checks.
