Ground Rules:Format will be: One Round + a Progressive and a Finals the first round will be held at the Community Credit Union Spur Arena Feb 13 9:00am. The top 96 + ties will compete in the eight performances slowest to fastest. Top 12 + ties will compete in the short go random draw. Exhibitions 1st Community Credit Union Spur Arena Feb 11 7:00pm-10:00pm Feb 12 8:00am=12:00pm. Must have current coggins and health papers. Stalls Mandatory for fee during slack. Comp stalls for performances @ Old Horse barn north of Foster Communications Coliseum. No Ties out allowed. Back numbers must be worn during performances. Barrel Race center gate entry/exit east end. Rake after every contestant during
performance. Gate at the end of the alley will be used in the Forster Communications Coliseum during performances. The alley way will Not be fenced/paneled to narrow the arena. If you have a horse that has trouble stopping or running in a straight line upon exiting, you need to prepare accordingly. In order to maintain as level a playing field as possible there will be NO open riding time and thus no contestants on horseback in the Foster Communications Coliseum at any time. Failure to comply will result in immediate disqualification. Below are the times and dates for the Exhibition and 4 D Barrel Race prior to the San Angelo Barrel Racing slack. Exhibition Barrels: $5 per exhibition. 1st Community Credit Union Spur Arena, San Angelo Saturday, February 11th from 7 pm to 10 pm. Books open 6:30 P.M. Sunday, February 12th from 8 am to noon. Books open at 7:30 a.m. 4-D Barrel race sponsored by the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Association will begin at 1 pm, Sunday, February 12th. Fenced warm-up area and alley adjacent to timed event chutes. Barrels may not be placed in the arena for practice at any time. Access to arena for contestants will be set by Arena Director. No warming up of horses in the arena during any paid performance. Contestants must wear back numbers. Contestants who park on Third Ave (east of Rodeo Grounds) or on private property along Third
Ave may be subject to ticketing and/or towing at the vehicle owners expense. The Tucson Rodeo Committee will tow any vehicle parked in an unauthorized area on the Tucson Rodeo Grounds. Dr Pepper Winners Circle bonus ($100.00) will be paid for fastest time during each performance.Contestant must take victory lap to receive the bonus.
