No entry fees.FORMAT: Three go-rounds back to back to back (Perf to Perf to Perf) held as a three performance bracket. There will befive brackets of rodeos that will account for the first 15 perfs. Each performance will pay first place $2,074.17, 2nd place $1,555.63, 3rd place $1,037.08, 4th place $518.54. The top four money winners (twenty total) in each bracket will advance to a two performance semi-finals rodeo (10 contestants each performance) held during the sixteenth and seventeenth performances. No previous times will be carried forward. Positions in the semi-finals will be by random draw. If there is a tie, the tie will be broken by any go-round winner in the bracket, if still tied it will be broken by any single fastest time. If still tied, the tie will be broken based on the 2008 official standings coming into the rodeo. Each semi-final pays first place $2,074.17, 2nd place $1,555.63, 3rd place $1,037.08, and 4th place $518.54. The top four money winners from each semi-final (total money won in their bracket plus the semi-finals) will advance to the finals (nineteenth performance). If there is a tie, the tie will be broken by single fastest time in the semi-finals, if still tied it will be broken by most money won prior to the semi-finals in the brackets. If still tied, the tie will be broken byany go-round winner in the bracket. The 6 remaining contestants from each semi-final (12 total) will compete in a Wild Card Round (eighteenth performance). No previous times will be carried forward. The wild card will pay first place $2,074.17, 2nd place $1,555.63, 3rd place $1,037.08, and 4th place $518.54. The top four contestants in total money won (money won in their bracket plus the semi-finals plus the wild card) after competing in the wild card round will advance to the finals (nineteenth performance). If there is a tie, the tie will be broken by single fastest time in the wild card round, if still tied it will be broken by most money won prior to the wild card round (bracket plus semi-final). If still tied, the tie will be broken by any go-round winner in the bracket. No previous times will be carried forward. The Finals will consistent of 12 contestants (4 from semi-finals1 and 4 from semi-finals2 and 4 from wildcard). The finals will pay 1st place $12,445.00, 2nd place $9,333.75, 3rd place $6,222.50, and 4th place $3,111.25. The event champion will be determined by most money won at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. If there is a tie, the tie will be broken by single fastest time in the finals, if still tied it will be broken by most money won prior to the finals (bracket plus semi-final plus wild card). If still tied, the tie will be broken by any go-round winner in the bracket. If still tied, the tie will be broken by official 2008 world standings.***POST AT RODEO - REQUESTED BY COMMITTEE - ***1. During performances the arena must be clear of all contestants 15 minutes prior to the start of the laser and pyro opening. This will be strictly enforced due to fire department order. 2.No timed event contestant is allowed in the arena at any other time than when they are competing. No horses will be allowed in the arena at the AT&T Center at any time, other than performances. No exceptions.3.No children are allowed behind chutes, on chute
level or in the arena. No exceptions.4.All areas behind the chutes will be considered part of the arena. To gain access to this area, contestants must be dressed according to WPRA rules and have their numbers visible. Contestants must wear back numbers which are clearly visible at all times upon entrance to and while in the arena whether competing or not. No jackets, coats, vests, etc. may be worn which cover back number while contestant is in the arena areas.5.Only rodeo contestants with valid contestant number will be allowed behind chutes and in the chute or arena area. Numbers must be clearly visible. Anyone caught with an invalid number (one not belonging to them) will have that number confiscated. Anyone giving their number to someone else will be turned into the PRCA Officials.6.In accordance with PRCA By-law (B15.1.9), this is to notify that San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo will only admit contestants who are entered in the competition to facilities at no charge. PRCA & WPRA members who are not entered will not be given free admission, nor may they enter any area restricted only to contestants without proper credentials. 7. Due to the limited number of stalls available, arrival time at the Coliseum/AT&T Center will be at 2:00 PM one day prior to the performance they are upat and departure time is 10:00 AM one day after the performance they are up at. Stalls will be assigned to contestants at Coliseum/AT&T Center on a first come, first serve basis.8.All decisions or changes in the ground rules must be made in writing.9.At allperformances, the ground will be hand raked after each run.
