FORMAT:
• One Round and a Progressive (96) running in the performance and Finals.
• Entire first go will be ran during slack on Tuesday, July 16, 10:00 am.
• The top 96 times plus ties will run their second go during the performances (12:30 pm), Saturday, July 20 – Saturday, July 27, approximately twelve runs per performance.
• The top 12 fastest times on two will qualify for the finals, Sunday, July 28, 2013 (12:30 pm). In the case of a tie in the 12th position both competitors will go to Finals.
Trades allowed must be completed with the secretary one hour after the completion of the first go round. 30 hour replacement policy will be in effect. Non-notified turnouts will result in a $100 Cheyenne Frontier Days fine in addition to WPRA fine. Contestants will enter the arena from the north end. No foot traffic through T-4 Gate. While competing, contestants WILL WEAR THEIR OWN BACK NUMBER SECURELY PINNED ON THEIR BACK in a manner that is visible to the officials and events staff. CFD will issue a $50.00 fine for individuals who do not have their number securely pinned on their back and visible. No horses are permitted in the arena on slack mornings prior to the start of slack. There will be no exercising of horses in the arena prior to rodeo, night show or slack. PRCA and WPRA Arena Rules and CFD ground rules are in effect in the ready area at the north end of the arena. Every contestant must pay their entry fee and sign a release at the Contestants Office prior to picking up their number and competing. CFD will issue a $50.00 fine for individuals who do not pick up their credentials prior to competing on July 16th. Only actual contestants and one companion are allowed gate access. One vehicle parking pass will be available for contestants. All contestants not competing in the performance must leave the CFD grounds by Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at noon. There are a limited number of stalls for contestants competing. First come first served. Horses to be stalled in the Contestant Barns only. "No conflict" will be guaranteed at all Gold and Silver tour rodeos (if possible), as long as the contestant does not create the conflict by giving conflicting preferences. Fastest 10 to the performance each night will be run in random order. The remaining contestants will run their 2nd go-round following the PRCA slack Reverse order with all turn-outs, non-notified turn-outs and releases taken out. Drag after 10 run. Finals will be top 12 random draw. (Ties amount the top ten to compete in the performances and their order will be determined by random draw). Ready when called: shall mean that the contestant must be ready to run into the arena as soon as called by the Timed Event Chute Boss or Pro Official. If a contestant is not ready when called, Time Event Chute Boss or Pro Official may fine contestant $200. On the run in and run out contestants must maintain forward motion. Barrel racing contestants will start from the same alley and same gate and shall enter the arena ready to run. There will be no preparation, re-work or raking during a performance. A limited number of stalls, electric and water hookups are available on a first come, first serve basis free or charge. User of their hookups agree to park in a manner that all may use the available hookups. Contestant parking is primarily to the east of the arena. Overflow parking is available directly southeast of the arena. All areas to the west of the arena is fan parking. Any contestants parking in fan parking must move to contestant parking by 4pm each day. GBR approved for first event in slack. No conflict will be guaranteed at all Gold and Silver tour rodeos (if possible), as long as the contestant does not create the conflict by giving conflicting preferences.
