The top 12 fastest times will go to the finals. Limited to 120 entries. If entries exceed 120 then the entries will be based upon most money won during the 2008 and official earnings up to and including 30 days prior to close of entries. If contestant turns out in the finals there will be a $50 Cheyenne Frontier Days Fine in addition to WPRA fine. Short go positions will be random draw. The entire first go roundwill take place during slack on July 14 at 10:00am. The second go round is a straight flip with 96 of the 120 entries being placed in performances, with the remaining 24 entries taking their second run approximately one hour after the completion of the first go round on
Tuesday, July 14. Contestants will enter the arena from the north end. No foot traffic through T-4 gate. While competing contestants will wear their own number securely pinned on their back in a manner that officials can read it. No horses are permitted in the arena on slack mornings prior to the start of slack. There will be no exercising of horses in the arena prior to rodeo. Night show or slack. Every contestant must pay their
entry fee and sign a release at the contestants office prior to picking up their number and competing. Stalls are first come first served. No trades will be allowed. Contestants must notify Procom at the time of entry if they are claiming an execption from qualification. A release or notified turn out can be replaced by an alternate from a list of conestants who entered and were drawn out due to qualifications. An alternate from the top money category will replace a release or notified To from top money qualifiers and an alternate from top circuit category will replace a release or notified TO from top circuit qualifiers. A release or notified TO must be made through Procom at least 30 hours prior to the scheduled performance time to be replaced. Notifications made after the 30 hour deadline will not be replaced. Any notifications on record with Procom at the 30 hour deadline will be final. Replacements will only apply to first go-round positions.
