World Finals Frequently Asked Questions

(Many questions listed below are answered in the 2009 WPRA World Finals Ground Rules. Be sure to read all Ground Rules.)

1). Q: Please explain how money won at the 2009 WPRA World Finals will be reported as World Standings?

A: In Barrel Racing, money earned at the 2009 WPRA World Finals will count as money earned for the 2010 WPRA World Standings and 2010 NFR Standings. In Roping events and Junior Barrel Racing, money earned at the 2009 WPRA World Finals will be added money already earned for 2009 in order to determine the 2009 WPRA World Champions in all Roping events and Junior Barrel Racing.

2). Q: When can you arrive at the Tulsa Expo Fairgrounds? Will stalls be available at that time?

A: Contestants can check in on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 after 7:00 AM BUT not before that time. Contestants are strongly encouraged to buy their stalls at Entry Open time. If you purchase your stalls on location, they will cost more.

Facilities: 10 (14x14) and 1 (14x24) stall barn. Outdoor holding pen, big arena. Neg. Coggins req.
Rates: $10/per horse. Prairie/alfalfa hay availalbe for going rate.

3). Q: Will there be hookups for camping in my trailer?

A: Yes, there will be hookups. RV Hookups will be handled through the fairgrounds. You can make RV reservations by logging on their website at www.exposquare.com then clicking on the Facilities tab on the top banner, then the drop down tab for RV Park. You will find all information about rates, rules and reservations there. In addition you maycontact them at:

Note: The WPRA has negotiated very attractive rates for contestants at our Host Hotel. The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has 2 options available depending on your needs. You can choose to stay at either the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (rates starting at $119 a night) or the Cherokee Inn (rates starting at $45 a night). Both facilities are at the same location, share the same parking area and you have complete access to all the same benefits and amenities. You can contact their Central Reservation area at 1 800 760 6700. Tell them you are with the WPRA and they can walk you thru their options and pricing.

We really encourage you to stay at our Host Hotel. Our sponsors, like the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino are very important to the success of the WPRA World Finals. Not only are activities scheduled to take place there, they are also rolling out the red carpet for you our competitors. The Hard Rock facility is fun, there is lots to do, they have great food, terrific amenities and and a wide range of prices to fit your budget
and taste.

4). Q: What if I want to haul in each day and compete?

A: There will be a special parking location for those hauling in and competing each day during the World Finals. Horses can be tied to your trailer in this area only. You are not allowed to run generators in this area. Use of generators is only allowed in RV Park.
