The WPRA is thrilled to announce
that Wrangler has signed on as the Presenting Sponsor
of the 2009 WPRA World Finals. We have had a strong
return of many of our existing Finals sponsors and we
are working hard to bring on new World Finals supporters
as well. There are various levels of support so if you
or someone you know would like to target the top female
athletes of this organization please inquire about our
many business opportunities.
Some of our corporate sponsors will be bringing World
Finals competitors an opportunity to learn more about
their products through informational seminars, clinics
and product give-aways. This is a great chance for you
to show your appreciation to our sponsors as well as
take a role in the sponsorship process by displaying
your power as a western industry consumer. Please take
an active part in these programs as they have been designed
with your needs in mind.
ACTIVITIES
The World Finals Committee and production team are actively
working on special events to make this rodeo a unique
and a meaningful experience for all those involved.
Some of the tentative plans include a Welcome ceremony,
special entertainment, a PESI stallion showcase, an
awards ceremony and more. Keep an eye on this magazine
and www.wpra.com for emerging information on these events
as they develop.
FAMILIAR VOICES
We are happy to report that Allen Moorhead and Tim Fuller
will be announcing the play-by-play action again at
this year's World Finals. Their intimate knowledge of
women's rodeo and unsolicited support throughout the
year made them both obvious choices for the job. Moorhead
even took his support one step further and donated a
buckle for the Youth Division at the 2008 World Finals.
GROUND CONDITIONS
The staff at the Tulsa Expo Square and the Finals Committee
took your concerns about the ground very seriously and
are making big strides to make it the best possible
conditions for the 2009 Finals. Expo Square has even
taken an extra step of bringing in world renown ground
consultant Bob Kiser to develop the right strategy for
their arenas. Your safety and the safety of your horse
is a major priority and we are all working hard to get
the ground right!
So start thinking about the essentials
that you will need for this year's WPRA World Finals
Rodeo in your gear bag. Be ready for tough competition,
great shopping at the expanded trade show and most of
all fun! You will see new updates each month in this
magazine and we head down the Road to Tulsa .
