Husband, Don Lee (a vet) …Prior to 2020 didn’t consider herself much of a rodeo competitor but of a great trainer of futurity and derby horses…Works for Jason Martina and Charlie Cole of High Point Performance Horses and they felt they had some promising rodeo horses and wanted Pedone to be their jockey… French Zone “Hollywood” was bought from NFR qualifier Kelly Bruner who raised and trained him in June of 2020…Grew up on a dairy farm in Florida owned by her dad, Lee Pedone. She was the first of her family to enter the horse world. Her dad took her to her first barrel race when she was 4-years old and he has supported her the whole time…Rodoed in high school but was drawn to the training part of barrel racing…Won the long go at the 2017 Diamonds and Dirt Barrel Horse Classic on Streakin Queenie…Got help from Alan and Wendy Parker giving her, her first horse Idget…Another stepping stone to her success was the broodmare her father gave to her when she was 18 – Kiss Kiss This that became the cornerstone of R Barrel Horses breeding program…Moved to Texas in 2006 for the horse opportunities and starting taking classes in human acupuncture in Austin…Credits Eddie Henderson from Weatherford, TX with helping her truly understand bloodlines and breeding programs…Started working with the Fulton’s in 2013 training many of their offspring and competed in futurities and derbys…Mother is Sandi Dickinson and stepdad Ronny Dickinson…Will be without the services of Feel The Sting at the NFR due to an injury sustained in October 2020. Stinger is the result of an embryo sold to High Point Performances horses eight years ago out of Sherry Cervi’s world champion horse Stingray…Firewater is a stallion out of Kelly Yates’ 2000 AQHA Barrel Racing Horse of the Year Firewater Fiesta that carried her to the Wrangler NFR.
