Champions Crowned at Governor's Cup
SIOUX FALLS, SD (Sept 28, 2025) –A whole year of blood, sweat and tears came down to the final weekend in professional rodeo and showdown Sunday at the 2025 Governor’s Cup presented by Texas Precious Metals at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, SD. It was an electric performance from start to finish.
WPRA Breakaway Roper Bailey Bates was outside the top 15 when she arrived in Sioux Falls, but she leaves town having punched her ticket to her first National Finals Breakaway Roping. Bates of Tohatchi, N.M., stopped the clock in 2.1 seconds in the final round to win the round and the $32,000 that came with the win.
