SmartPak Joins WPRA Family of Partners Supporting Women in Rodeo
By Ann Bleiker
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – SmartPak was founded in 1999 and is now bringing their smarts to power healthy horses and happy riders within the professional rodeo world, specifically with the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA).
While all rodeo competitors have a love for their horses, the women of the WPRA take that level of love to a higher standard so to combine that love with the philosophy of those at SmartPak seemed like a no-brainer.
“Caring for our equine athletes and making sure they are feeling their best when they enter the professional arena is no easy task but the foundation that SmartPak has put together through their SmartPak supplement feeding system helps ease that burden,” stated Hannah Miller, WPRA Partnership and Special Events Manager. “We are excited to bring their years of experience in equine care to the members of the WPRA.”
Founder Becky Minard owned a horse that needed daily supplements. She quickly realized that what should have been a simple chore was in fact a complicated process in desperate need of solutions! SmartPaks were developed as a way to simplify feeding to ensure her beloved horse Westley always got exactly what he needed, in the exact right amounts, no matter who fed him.
The team at SmartPak is full of riders and owners who understand that health concerns are unavoidable realities of modern horsekeeping. Even the best managed horse may still experience times of stress, which is why they believe every horse deserves custom support from supplements designed to help them feel and look their best.
Unique to SmartPak is their FREE $15,000 colic surgery reimbursement program. ColiCare eligible supplements give your horse, backed by research, the best digestion and hindgut support. Routine veterinary care and digestive supplements can help your horse avoid common health issues, such as colic. Once you’ve ordered your ColiCare eligible supplement in SmartPaks, you’ll be able to complete the application form online or over the phone. Applying to enroll takes less than 5 minutes!
“We are incredibly excited to start our partnership with Women’s Professional Rodeo Association,” stated Amanda Bodkin, SmartPak PR and Sponsorship Manager. “Our mission at SmartPak is to power the passions of our fellow riders and their equine partners all the way from their home barn to the NFR. We’re looking forward to supporting the members of the WPRA and their horses as they chase their dreams and achieve their goals both inside and outside of the rodeo arena.”
Every horse is different and the team at SmartPak believes it should be easy for you to create a customized supplement program that provides everything one’s horse needs and nothing they don’t. Four-time Wrangler NFR qualifiers Michele McLeod and Sherrylynn Johnson have used SmartPaks in their equine feeding regimen.
Along with providing top notch supplements, their online store has everything a horsewoman needs from grooming supplies, to fly control, to tack and equipment. They can even take care of your smaller furry companions.
